Welcome to the

Lung Â鶹ÊÓƵapp Screening Program

We offer lung cancer screening for individuals at risk for developing lung cancer.

Our program, part of Perlmutter Â鶹ÊÓƵapp Center, offers lung cancer screening for people at risk for developing lung cancer. NYU Langone’s Lung Â鶹ÊÓƵapp Screening Program is a collaboration of our pulmonary medicine, thoracic oncology, thoracic radiology, and thoracic surgery experts.

Our skilled and compassionate specialists guide patients through every aspect of lung cancer screening including, if necessary, surveillance, diagnosis, and treatment. We also offer opportunities to participate in research with the goal of developing greater advancements in lung cancer screening.

Pioneers in Lung Â鶹ÊÓƵapp Screening

NYU Langone experts are innovators in lung cancer screening. Our thoracic radiologists are national leaders in their field and pioneered the use of CT scans for lung cancer screening in the 1990s. Our state-of-the-art CT equipment and medical expertise ensure that screening is performed appropriately, safely, and with proper follow up and oversight.

Since 2000, our Lung Â鶹ÊÓƵapp Screening Program has been part of the Early Detection Research Network of the National Â鶹ÊÓƵapp Institute (NCI). We participate in the American College of Radiology’s lung cancer screening registry, which ensures that we follow high quality standards. We also participate in the National Lung Â鶹ÊÓƵapp Roundtable’s lung cancer screening task group, which is dedicated to identifying best practices for delivering lung cancer screening services.
